[Nulla dies sine linea]

Katharina Hinsberg

Paper cube, 21 x 21 x 21 cm, drawing ink, pen on 921 single sheets

The first line, drawn on the lowest sheet by a ruler, precisely divides it. This first transparent line was traced by hand as accurately as possible on a second sheet laid above. This technique was repeated sheet after sheet. Thus the line duplicates itself by repeating and dividing its transparent shade. In doing so, the small deviations are accumulating themselves every time.
